Scandinavian Tank Storage winner of the Port of Gothenburg’s
environmental award.
Today the oil storage company Scandinavian Tank Storage (STS) was rewarded with Gothenburg’s environmental award. The company was recognized both for its sustainability efforts and sound cooperation with authorities and customers. The award was presented at the annual Energy Port Day.
Each year, the Port of Gothenburg hands out the Energy Port’s environmental award. This year, Scandinavian Tank Storage (STS) was rewarded. STS was awarded, among other things, because the company is working proactively with improvements based on customer needs.
This is the ninth year of the Energy Port’s environment award. The jury is composed of experts from the Port of Gothenburg.
”Environmental and safety issues are very important on our agenda and we are very excited for the award, says Claes Jacobsson, CEO of STS.”

“As one of the newer operators in the Energy Port, Scandinavian Tank Storage has demonstrated its commitment to the latest technology when managing the business in its caverns storage in Syrhåla. STS has an open attitude towards authorities and operators in the Energy Port cluster. They also take an active part in SPBI’s efforts to develop environmental work within the industry and also provides a link between SPBI and Gothenburg Port’s cooperation committee. The company works proactively with improvements based on customer needs in a constructive way. “
