A New Chapter for Scandinavian Tank Storage<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Scandinavian Tank Storage (\u201cSTS\u201d) enters a new phase following the completion of its parent company, K-Svets Storage AB (renamed STS Holding AB) ownership change on 11<\/span>th<\/sup> of December 2025. After decades of development under the Kristensson family, who built a resilient and well\u2011performing company through K\u2011Svets Storage AB , the parent company is now owned by a Swedish investment company. The transaction was initiated and led by Knut Pousette and Jimmy Lindgren, alongside a select group of investors through Aktiebolaget Nordiska Sj\u00f6terminals Kompaniet (\u201cANSK\u201d). This new ownership establishes a long\u2011term and experienced foundation for STS\u2019s continued role in the Nordic energy system. STS will continue to operate independently under its existing brand, organisation and operational principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Nordic Network Built for Reliability
\n<\/strong>For more than three decades, STS has maintained an excellent safety record and a strong reputation for reliability, operational discipline and high\u2011quality service. With ten terminals across Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland and a combined storage capacity of approximately 4.1 million metric tonnes, STS is the Nordic region\u2019s leading privately owned storage operator. Its strategically located terminals, including Norrk\u00f6ping, G\u00e4vle, Karlshamn, Malm\u00f6 and Gothenburg, as well as Pori, Kristinestad, Aalborg, Keflav\u00edk\/Helguvik and Hvalfjordur, form a critical logistics backbone connecting maritime flows with rail, pipeline and road.<\/p>\n

Preparing for the Future of Energy Logistics
\n<\/strong>The Nordic energy market is evolving rapidly, and STS continues to strengthen its ability to handle a broader mix of fuels including bio\u2011based and low\u2011carbon products. At the Malm\u00f6 terminal, STS already manages significant bio\u2011component flows, supported by a newly established rail unloading capability. The company will continue to develop its infrastructure and operational systems to meet the changing needs of its customers and ensure safe, efficient handling of both conventional and renewable product for and with the clients.<\/p>\n

Sverker Lid\u00e9n Appointed Chief Executive Officer
\n<\/strong>To lead STS into its next phase, the Board has appointed Sverker Lid\u00e9n as CEO, effective 1 February 2026. Sverker joins from St1, where he served as Group Head of Logistics responsible for 27 terminals across Northern Europe. He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and brings extensive technical and commercial experience from across the energy sector. He previously spent fifteen years in senior roles at STS and has also founded and operated energy businesses in Iceland, now integrated into STS\u2019s operations. Earlier in his career, he worked for more than fifteen years as a trader at Preem.<\/p>\n
